Killer track by Impureza, who may be the worlds first flamenco-influenced French-Spanish death metal band. If not the first, then certainly the best.

The synthesis of flamenco and death metal is wholly genuine, without the forced sense of genre-combining that can sometimes happen when styles so far apart in the spectrum come together. In this way, this reminds me a bit of King by Fleshgod Apocalypse who achieve the same with classical compositon and death metal.

Honestly, the best parts here are the flamenco parts, which are much more evident across the album vs the song posted here.

Totally diggin this, and in fact just bought the newest release from Season of Mist, which came out yesterday, and the 2011 album from the band’s Big Cartel page, fingers crossed that it safely travels from France to the USA to me.
